A photography can evoke different sensations and emotions, but it draws attention there in a pair of two old columns where when looking at the horizon everything is left behind, the city, the noise and our thoughts.
Perhaps only one of our thoughts remains with us, the others seem to have been blown away by the wind. We think about those seagulls that fly around, flying free, heading somewhere without caring about these columns or us as spectators.
We feel envy, nostalgic or simply peace. And the image in black and white still evokes freedom but also something else, a certain nostalgia for other times, when perhaps not only the seagulls but also us were really free but we can still fly with our eyes, mind and soul.
