If I had to take a guess, it is because people lack the discipline and mindset.
The Bitcoin halvening is coming up, and the crypto markets are starting to get more dangerous. People will be attracted to pumps and some might make a lot of money. Some might lose a lot of money. Some might break even.

After 8 months, what are things that one has purchased for $100? Doesn't have to even be crypto.
Working out and exercise is a big New Years Resolution year after year. The gyms get noticeably packed around this time and slowly overtime the amount of people reduces as people start to lose interest and lose consistency.
Building a strong personal foundation through exercise is extremely important, in my opinion. Read more about what I think here. But essentially, exercising has one of the fewest barriers to entry out of anything in life and is one of the most challenging things to stay consistent at for most people.
