We don't need yet another article telling us that Bitcoin is superior to fiat.
We need to make it a reality and remove ourselves from the conversation to show people.
Yesterday I was listening to a crypto related podcast, and the subject of the current banking system came up.
They were doing great until one guy piped up and said that we don't want to see a sudden collapse of the fiat currency, or everything will be utter chaos.
People will be poor, in an instant, and will possibly starve, and it would be like 1929 all over again.
Except, it wouldn't be the same...
My parents were born in 1940, and 1943 respectively just shortly after the great depression, and grew up in the 50's and 60's.
My mother was a bit of a horder, because her mother was a horder as well due to her being a child during the depression.
They would both tell us stories about how their parents survived it, and how life was.
We live in a very technologically advanced society now, and even if everything failed all at once, it would be nothing like then.
Yes, the very, very poor would struggle, but wouldn't suffer the nightmares of that time long ago.
But before it even gets to that point, there will be plenty of food and water due to many co-ops and various people planting gardens, and preppers, and all sorts of things people back then were struggling to start and continue.
If you think I'm crazy, and say people will starve, just look at the thousands and thousands of churches, soup kitchens, and government agencies to help and feed the poor, that didn't exist then.
Remember that the dust bowl was a terrible time that destroyed crops, and pushed people out of their homestead into the cities.
Now, the odds of another dust bowl like the one back then is slim, and even though there are terrible storms and yes, some are dust storms, none will ever be as bad.
Because the conditions for such things don't exist now. Much more area has been cultivated and irrigated to stop this.
Things are bad, and yes, there will be tough times, but I say, let it fall.
Let the whole system collapse, and start over with crypto being the currency.
If there are folks who haven't heard of Bitcoin by now, they are living under a rock.
Start moving this new economy forward and leave the nonsense behind, and that includes those who think hanging onto our current monetary system is going to help in some way.
All it is actually doing is delaying the inevitable, and the longer it holds on, many more people will have short term gain, and end up with long term pain.
It's best to get the pain over with...
