So you want to get your hands on cryptocurrency. Great! But where will you start? Well I guess that is exactly why you're here. So let us start.
1. Faucets
So cryptocurrency faucets/cranes are very popular with younger people because they require no investment other than time. But the amount of work clearly correlates to the amount you earn. Sometimes you get less than a cent per faucet claim. I think you can figure that one out for yourself.
2. Freelance
This is probably the most recommended method of earning crypto without any upfront investment. Just find some jobs that match your skill set and you are in business. There are several good sites and even subreddits dedicated to freelance for cryptocurrencies. You might not get the first, second or even 100th job you apply for but do not be discouraged, you will get there eventually. Just browse some more and once your application is accepted, do your best. (I will write a post about the DOs and DON'Ts of freelance work. Follow if you would want to read that)
3. Just buy it!
You can find several sites where you can exchange any currency for cryptocurrency. For example localbitcoins.com where you can buy Bitcoin form traders. If you do not have a bank account or do not want to use it, you can use a Bitcoin ATM and pay with physical money. It is all just one Google search away.
4. Scamming time!
I DO NOT ADVISE YOU TO SCAM PEOPLE!!!
One of the most popular ways to scam someone into sending you cryptocurrency is bitcoin doubling websites. They offer you to double your coins by hacking into blockchain and overwriting a transaction. Anyone who knows how blockchain really works will never fall for such crap. Other scams are:
"I am a startup looking for investors" e-mail.
Cloud based mining! Start for free today!
A casino! TOTALLY fair! No scam involved!
Now that cryptocurrencies have gained popularity people have become a little smarter and fewer fall for these scams. One of the people I know was arrested for a BTC doubling site. He earned over 10'000$ a month and the bank got suspicious of the money he was putting in from a source he never declared anywhere. So I would strongly advise against scamming, but hey, you decide. Just be aware of the risks.
5. Sell some stuff
OpenBazaar is one of the possible P2P networks where you can sell stuff. Hell, write a digital books and sell it. It is that easy. No need to ship across the world. No need to worry about getting scammed. Just receive the Bitcoin and send a copy of the book their way. Cool right?
6. Writing articles for crypto
Hey! You are reading this article on one of those sites! There are more out there and Cryptocurrency news outlets are basically always hiring. So you will find a source of money pretty fast.
