E-Bay to Accept Crypto

Guys, I know it's been a while since we last connected and chatted about crypto, I need to work on my discipline! But I'll tell y'all this, it's been a really trying time all over the world these past few weeks, what with the war in Ukraine and the face off with Russian troops. Nobody wins a war, man. And I really feel terrible about those innocent families caught in the crossfire.

Over in Canada, there was also the recent faceoff between the administration and the truckers and the move by the government to restrict their access to funding, even venturing to attempt to cut off their access to crypto, which is a whole 'nother conversation about the concept of crypto and an administration's ability to freeze your digital assets which we must have on another day.

And so, guys, it's been a lot, and I've just been trying really hard to gather together my coins these past few weeks, conduct research, settle on the right projects, and hunker down through the crypto winter, what with bears running around in the cold.

Incidentally, I've been following this YouTuber, Digital Asset News, and he gives me a daily update on everything crypto and what's going on in the world in an easy going, calm, matter of fact way that I really like. No yelling, no screaming, no shilling, just simple discussion and facts.  In case you're wondering, I'll drop a link to his latest post right here:

Today though, I'd like to talk a bit about a recent announcement I heard: that e-commerce giant eBay  which manages, get this, $85 billion of payments directly, is considering crypto as a possible payment option come March 2022. According to a report by Cointelegraph, an official announcement about the integration of a crypto payment option could be made as early as March 10th. And I'd expect it would be the usual Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and possibly Dogecoin.

Non-fungible tokens are already traded on the platform under the categories of trading cards, music, entertainment and art.

This is great news, guys. As crypto becomes more mainstream, we are seeing more large organizations making big plays in the field. Who knows? Maybe we'd soon see Walmart and Amazon following. And did you guys remember how Litecoin soared in September last year when someone posted a fake report about Walmart possibly accepting the crypto payment? And there have been reports about Amazon also ramping up its crypto capabilities. So I don't know guys, but I think this is gonna be huge.

Well, what do you think? Are you looking forward to a major e-Bay announcement on March 10th? And do you think this move will influence similar action by Amazon and Walmart? Or do you think that this is an isolated act that might not be repeated? I'd love to hear your views on this one, guys.

Well, I'm off again guys, but until we meet again, let's continue to keep our brothers and sisters trapped in a war they didn't ask for in our prayers, let's continue to support them as best we can wherever we are in the world.  And please, everyone, remember to be safe. Arrivederci!
