Mass Adoption Is No Longer a "Dream Land". Crypto Cities are The Future

It feels more and more like "the fossils era" is coming to an end. I don't know much about the situation with natural resources of the world, or if all the fuzz lately around the energy crisis is just political manipulation to make our living even worse, or a real deal, but the signs are there.

I read an article earlier of zerohedge about the gas crisis influencing, in a negative manner, the zootechnical industries in America and Australia and that will for sure reflect in the food prices over the years to come.

We are at a transition point imo, for our society, "as we know it" and the old ways are definitely gonna be repaved with the technology of the future. One of these technologies is Bitcoin, powered by blockchain technology.

Nations around the world have embraced it in different manners, China being the worst example of dealing with crypto, by banning it "almost entirely" in the country. Countries like El Salvador for example have gone the opposite direction and cities like Miami are becoming technology(Bitcoin) hubs.

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is stepping up its efforts to attract crypto-focused businesses as it seeks to become the leading cryptocurrency center in the Middle East

The United Arab Emirates are famous all over the world for their wealth and opulence, but most of us are also aware that probably over 80% of that wealth comes from petrol. They've developed tourism pretty well over there as well, but it kind of all started from oil...

Oil is "probably" not an ever ending resource and the demand for oil is clearly decreasing, as most of the petrol consumers are switching to the so called more eco friendly options, such as electricity. How much eco friendly electricity really is, I literally have no clue, but I'm seeing the trend.

The Arab Emirates have to make the transition and they seem to be smart enough to move towards profiting from crypto in its quite early stages.

“The whole ecosystem in Abu Dhabi…is working together to make it easy for all the actors of that space, to not only attract them but bring them here, to develop the legal framework, to find what are the pain points worldwide so we can remove them, and have a very strong robust regulatory framework for those people.”

-Shorafa Al Hammadi, chairman, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development

“The UAE and Abu Dhabi seem to be striking the right balance between putting regulation around [crypto] but not so much that they’re constraining the growth and the exploration that will continue to happen for many years going forward.”

Drawing the regulatory frameworks around crypto without suffocating it, at least from a first glance, "sounds legit". Now, I'm not a fan of regulations for crypto, but at the same time I'm realizing it's almost impossible not to have any.

As the world is moving further towards almost total digitization, my take is that the countries and cities that are setting the pavement to become crypto countries/cities will likely become the epicenters of the world. I know that when talking crypto, location kind of becomes irrelevant, but we are still in the era where this does matter.

The fossils/plastic era is coming to an end and the ones having the eyes to see that are going to push the buttons of the future.
