Galaxy Digital, a diversified financial services and investment management company in the digital asset industry, announced the launch of Galaxy Digital Mining, a new business unit committed to providing bitcoin.
Galaxy Digital stated that it plans to mine Bitcoin through the new unit to better understand the challenges and needs of Bitcoin miners and provide solutions. The company also said it will launch its new business, cryptocurrency mining, only on a proprietary basis.
It is said that the "Galaxy Digital Mining" machines that will be used for mining will be hosted in a third party data center in the United States. The new mining unit, called Galaxy Digital Mining, will reportedly be spearheaded by Amanda Fabiano, former Bitcoin Mining Director of Fidelity Investments.
