Yelling Doge Tops The Charts, Decentraland Plots Gain Traction

Do repost and rate:

The second week of March offers NFT enthusiasts an interesting top 10 ranking, with meme NFT Yelling Doge topping the charts. Alongside the rather curious $1 million Doge sale, this week’s chart sees an increased activity for Decentraland thanks to two sales making it to the top five.

With the Yelling Doge NFT and the Decentraland land sales, this week’s Top 10 NFT Sales has already become quite interesting. However, this week’s chart also includes three CryptoPunks purchases, two of which were acquired by the same wallet. The Punks fan bought #445 and #7439 for a total of more than $820,000. What is even more impressive, the two Punks were then transferred to this wallet, which also ended up housing another of the top sales this week, that of Ringers #210

In this sense, a big part of the top 10 NFT sales this week can be associated with a single entity, as they ended up in the same wallet. The wallet belongs to punk6529, an active NFT collector, and vocal crypto Twitter personality. Punk6529 is now setting up an Open Metaverse collection that aims to preserve the decentralized nature of the NFT space. You can view the Open Metaverse Museum here.  Impressively, his portfolio also features Twin Flames #67: Craig & Carey Smith, which made it to the top 10 NFT sales charts a couple of weeks ago

Yelling Doge pushes meme NFTs ahead

Meme culture has been heavily tied to the NFT space since its very inception. Collections like Rare Pepe made their debut in the early days of the tech. Today, these digital collectible cards record sales in the millions.

The Yelling Doge NFT is another such case. The photograph has become one of the most infamous memes in popular culture. That is why it’s also attracting attention in the NFT space. Additionally, Doge NFTs have also pushed another wave of innovation in the space. It has become the most traded fractionalized tokens in the space.

According to the DappRadar Fractionalized NFTs charts, The Doge NFT and Feisty Doge NFT hold the top two spots in terms of fractionalized market cap. Whether Yelling Doge will join the fractionalized market is yet to be seen. However, it has undeniably carved out its place in the  NFT spotlight.
