South Africa’s Bitcoin SV Payments Firm, Centbee, Enters into Strategic Partnership with nChain

, a blockchain payments company, has revealed a strategic partnership with nChain, the prominent Web3 and blockchain technology company.

The collaboration aims to enhance and strengthen Centbee’s existing blockchain payments technology offerings.

The strategic partnership will involve the collaboration of nChain’s specialist software development team with Centbee’s technical team. It will bring together the expertise and knowledge of nChain’s team, particularly in the BSV (Bitcoin SV) blockchain and other related services which Centbee runs on.

Centbee wants to significantly strengthen its  technical skills and capabilities by leveraging nChain’s deep experience in BSV blockchain technology.

The software development team will focus on building blockchain technical integrations for remittance, fiat-to-digital currency on-ramps and off-ramps and offering loyalty rewards as a service on the BSV blockchain,” said Lorien Gamaroff, CEO of Centbee.

The BSV blockchain boasts to be the fastest public LEDGER with the capability to support over 50 000 transactions per second. Each transaction can facilitate smart contracts, transfer a secure token or create an immutable record. BSV is a digital asset that allows users to send and receive money instantly, anywhere in the world.

Centbee offers a user-friendly digital wallet designed for consumers which has gained popularity with over 100,000 downloads from app stores. The wallet utilizes blockchain technology to facilitate quick, affordable, and convenient money transfers.

According to the CentBee, one of its main attractions is because it provides a seamless experience for users to send and receive funds. Centbee also enables users to easily spend their BSV (Bitcoin SV) by offering a wide range of digital vouchers for purchase in more than 100 countries.

CentBee has expanded its services by introducing the capability to send remittances from anywhere in the world to West and East Africa.

In January 2023, the company closed a $1 million in Pre-Series A funding led by Calvin Ayre, founder of Ayre Ventures.
