I Joined Steemit And It Is So Confusing, To Say The Least

Do repost and rate:

Steemit is a blockchain-based social media platform. Which means it is decentralized. With this decentralization you have many responsibilities like writing down/saving your own keys. There are several different keys for you to write down. These keys have different purposes. So carefully read the notes the website shows you when signing up and understand them and write down each key with a little description.(they provide you with these descriptions when you create a Steemit wallet)Trust me if you don't have a printer to print them out it can take literal minutes to write them down on a piece of paper. Or you could use a password manager to save them I think.

Steem Power What Is It?

Another thing I'm confused about is how Steemit decides it's going to pay for each post. Here's what I mean as a brand new user I posted an article 5 days ago and it got 4 cents. But today I saw an old experienced user posting an article and it got 500$ within 5 minutes. My question is, is it because the old users have more followers and more "Steem Power" in their accounts or what is the reason? If you say it's because the old user has more Steem Power, then how did an introduction post get over 4000$ a few years ago? I'm confused can somebody explain this or share a link to some useful resources?

Any way like in any other social media platform 99% of the time you can't be successful in one night. Right? So I guess I will keep posting and keep being active on the site until that day becomes a reality or until I get bored of it.

What are your thoughts about Steemit? feel free to comment them down below. Also, I would really appreciate it if you could give me any tips or tricks about Steemit too. That being said this is the end of this article. Thank you very much for reading this and I will see you in my next article.
