Cosmos Hub novelties a.k.a. ATOM 2.0

Today was the first day of Cosmoverse currently held in Medellin, Colombia. This is one of the most anticipated events of Cosmos Ecosystem, and currently hosting important panels across whole ecosystems. 

Cosmos hub is planned to be center of the cosmos ecosystem to supply tools for the whole ecosystem, like Tendermint, Cosmos SDK and IBC. So value accrual was also in the second plan. 

For the last few months we were hearing ideas, plans, and updates, today we have seen them all coming together to create ATOM 2.0. Here are some highlights from the newly published whitepaper;

Most importantly Cosmos hub building Interchain Security & Liquid Staking enables Interchain Scheduler & Allocator creates powerful economic incentives. This all comes down to the hub's social coordination technology; that

the Cosmos Hub’s success becomes coupled to the success of other Cosmos chains and that of the wider IBC economy. Infrastructure and community come together to drive the expansion of the interchain with credibly neutral functionality, capital, and social infrastructure.

Sunny Aggarwal's lesson like a presentation about Mesh Security was one of the highlights of the first day for me (while there are still talks going on, you can watch it live here through Omniflix's broadcast). I will try to write about it soon, but in short, it's about scaling Cosmos security furthermore with utilizing and providing interchain security at the same time.
