As you may know, AUDIUS has announced a reward system that will reward users with AUDIO tokens by doing simple tasks on the website. I was a happy user who received the airdrop before so I thought thats a great idea, but when I tried to claim my first reward I hit the wall, and that wall was KYC. I have no problem with KYC on a crypto exchange or on a crypto service that is built specifically for identification purpose, but AUDIUS wants more data from me than any other music service ever wanted. Jeez I could even provide less data to complete basic verification on binance!
They wanted my phone number and name at first so I thought yeah why not, then they wanted an address, ok this is looking kinda sus and at the end they wanted my PESEL number (for people outside of Poland, this is something like a social security number), I did not provide it to them, its not worth it in my opinion even when I can earn a quick buck once again. I do not trust AUDIUS to handle THAT confidential data of mine. Hacks are commited all the time and I really trust centralised exchange more than some niche music service.
